Synopsis
Emily is the perfect type A personality. She knows she shouldn’t hike on an unfamiliar island alone, so she gets a tour guide.
Ryder is the co-owner of Fleet Outdoor Adventures but he’s on the marketing side. When his partner unexpectedly passes, he’s left alone. He didn’t think he’d be taking any more jobs, but how hard can going up a mountain be.
Well, it turns out its more difficult when people are after you after you step into a crime. Can Ryder and Emily make it out of the mountains in one piece?
Thoughts:
This book had me scratching my head at times for how ridiculous people can be. Come on, glow in the dark toilet paper – ha. What even? I loved how the characters owned how ridiculous they were and called themselves idiots multiple times. Love it. This book is certainly entertaining and I laughed out loud several times while listening. It was just so funny. I had a lot of fun with it. This book isn’t very deep, and the plot is really unbelievable, but it is fun. This is one of those books that made me think of a Netflix romcom. There is just a certain something that comes to mind when thinking of that, and this book fits the bill. I loved the dual POV and the setting. IT was great to listen to on audio and the narrators did a fantastic job. National Parks are something I want to explore more myself, but I just can’t see myself ruffing it like they did.
