Thoughts:

I had so much fun reading Out of the Woods! The story of high school sweethearts Sarah and Caleb Linwood navigating their relationship after seventeen years of being together was both heartwarming and hilarious. I loved how Sarah’s determination to prove herself by organizing a fundraising gala in honor of her late mother added depth to her character. Her independence and capability really shone through, even when things didn’t go as planned.

The unexpected twist of Caleb stepping in to save the day at the gala was both sweet and frustrating, perfectly capturing the complexities of their long-term relationship. I couldn’t help but laugh at the comedy of errors that followed as they decided to join a grueling hiking trip to mend their bond. Their nature-averse personalities made for some truly funny and relatable moments.

The rift that surfaced between Sarah and Caleb unearthed a decade of grievances, making me reflect on the evolution of relationships over time. I found myself rooting for them as they fought their way out of the woods, both literally and metaphorically. The life-affirming journey they embarked on was filled with laughter, love, and a few mishaps along the way.

What I enjoyed most about this book was the perfect blend of humor and heartfelt moments. Sarah and Caleb’s story reminded me of the importance of communication and teamwork in any relationship. The way they found their way back to their roots was both inspiring and entertaining.

Overall, Out of the Woods is a delightful read that
