Synopsis:

Not So Meet Cute

After losing her job, Lottie is trolling an expensive neighborhood for a boyfriend when she comes across Huxley. Huxley just so happens to need someone to pretend to be his girlfriend. They meet up and spark a deal, then they realize they don’t like each other very much.

After a while of pretending to be in love, they realize that all the hate they have for each other might actually be like in disguise.

So Not Meant to Be

JP has told Kelsey several times that men and women can’t be friends and work together. So when Kelsey finds out that they have to travel to San Franscico and stay in the same apartment for two weeks, she’s not too excited.

When the doors are closed, JP isn’t afraid to let lose, loudly and Kelsey takes notice. While she’d rather he keep his clothes on, he’s not too bad to look at.

When Kelsey is supposed to go on a date, JP realizes that the animosity that he’s feeling toward Kelsey may be something else…

A Long Time Coming

Lia and Breaker met in college and right as Breaker was getting up the nerve to ask Lia out, she said she wanted to be just friends, so Breaker, not wanting to lose her agreed.

Now fast forward and Lia is getting married, while Breaker is her man-in-waiting. Breaker knows that the groom to be is horrible, but Lia can’t see it. Along the way, Breaker realizes that he’s head over heels in love with Lia, but does Lia feel the same way? With her nuptials on the not so distant horizon, can Breaker prove his feelings before it’s too late?

Thoughts:

A Not So Meet Cute, Huxley and Lottie

This book was a fun take on enemies-to-lovers because Huxley and Lottie are fake dating while hating each other. It was so fun to read the banter that they had between each other; it was truly the best part of the book. I loved how despite how much they despised each other they ended up deeply caring about each other. It truly goes to show that sometimes these emotions can have blurry lines.

Huxley was jerk, but I did enjoy how it was explained why he was that way and it made sense. Though, Lottie wasn’t always the best either. So, they worked together. I did appreciate how strong of a female character Lottie was, and how despite everything, she kept going and persevering.

So Not Meant to Be, JP and Kelsey

This was another take on the enemies-to-lovers and he falls first tropes. Kelsey was a fun character, I fell in love with her take-charge attitude in Lottie’s story, and my love for her only grew in this book. Getting to know her more was a lot of fun. JP was hilarious at times and at one point I was laughing so hard I was crying. There were also some truly heart wrenching moments, but the laughter outweighed the sad moments in this one. However, this book had so much arguing back and forth it did get a little exhausting at times and distracted from the main story line. The spice in this one was amazing and a lot of fun. I will say that I didn’t enjoy this one quite as much as I did the first, but I still enjoyed it a lot.

I enjoyed getting sneak peaks into Huxley and Lotties life in this one and can’t wait for the next one to find out more.

A Long Time Coming, Breaker and Lia

Yup – this book was everything I wanted out of this series. I had a good feeling going in it would be, because friends-to-lovers is my favorite, and I was right! I absolutely adored Breaker and Lia. Breaker and Lia’s chemistry was amazing and just sizzled off the page. I loved how quirky and nerdy Breaker was, he just worked. I just wish that my nerdy husband was a billionaire. I will tell him to get right on that! Lia was also a lot of fun. I enjoyed that she wasn’t as sexually experienced as some of the other characters, but she had a great group of friends to help her out. It was extra fun that her friends were the wives and characters from the previous two books so I felt I knew them already. Overall, this book just worked for me on so many levels.

This book had some great scenes with all the characters from the last two books of the series and we got life updates from them. I would recommend you read this series in order as there are spoilers.
