Review:
I received this book in my Once Upon A Bookclub Box. I always love these boxes as the presents match the books so perfectly. I usually enjoy the books as well. Unfortunately for me I struggled with this one. I absolutely loved the French cooking aspect of it and learning more about the French culture. However, this one fell a little flat for me in the mystery department. I have found that I struggle with cozy mysteries, so for me I think it is more of a genre thing, not necessarily this book. I prefer my books to be a little more thrilling and less cozy I suppose. However, I really did enjoy the writing style, I felt transformed to France. This book would have been the perfect book to include some recipes for. It’s always a fun treat when you are reading about delicious food, and you can make it later then think back to the book.
If you are a fan of cozy mysteries, then I recommend you check this one out.
