Thoughts:
I love queer rom coms. They are just so much fun and I get lost in them. After a particularly busy week at work, I needed an escape, and this book delivered.
I’m a Pisces, and true to my sign, I’m a bit of a dreamer and tend to get lost in things, the astrology is one of them. I grounded myself by marrying a Capricorn. Yes, he can be a jerk, but not usually to me. Which is pretty stereotypical Capricorn, I’m in his circle of trust that consists of two people, lol.
As Gray set off to work through the astrological signs, I buckled in to learn about a few of them. I haven’t spent much time around Aries or really any fire signs, so had a lot of learning to do, but I enjoyed her journey! Water and fire don’t really go well together so I think that I’ve always kept a natural distance. I enjoyed how the author didn’t just make certain signs seem “good” and other seem “bad”. They brought balance to all of them.
It was so much fun getting to see the different stereotypical of the different characters that Gray was going on dates with. Of course, I was kept waiting for the Pisces as the last sign of the zodiac, but I wasn’t surprised by how their date turned out. I’ve been on many dates where I have found myself as the listener and detached, much like Grays date was, and that’s okay! I can be good at it when I am up for it!
As for the ending of this one and who Gray ended up with, I did see it coming, I don’t think that it was a surprise, but it was still a super sweet story and a wonderful journey.
Hey, the next time I’m single maybe I’ll date through the signs. Though I already know to steer clear of few signs based on experience – ha!
I also loved the addition of cocktails and recipes at the end of this one! I’ll have to check them out.
