This book made me want to jump aboard a plane to Prince Edward Island, and I don’t have a clue how many planes that would take.

Synopsis:
Lucy is visiting her best friend’s family in Prince Edward Island. She arrives early, and ends up meeting a local, Felix. One thing leads to another, and they end up having amazing chemistry inside and outside the bedroom. However, as they go to say goodbye, they realize that Felix is Lucy’s best friends’ little brother. Cue panic and vows never to repeat what happened.
This proves easier said than done as each year when Lucy visits, she is drawn to everything the island has to offer, including Felix, but she makes herself the promise that she won’t end up in his bed.
So, when her friend suddenly flees to the island days before her wedding, Lucy drops everything to be with her. This is the most time shes spent with Felix since that night five years ago, and keeping her distance is proving difficult. Can she manage to avoid the sparks and get her friends’ upcoming nuptials back on track?
Thoughts:
Carley Fortune keeps getting better. This was only my second book by her, but it was so good. I think this book was made for audio! Just perfect.
The setting of this one, Prince Edward Island, was just superb. I have never been, in fact, I’ve hardly been to the Atlantic coast, but this book made me feel like I was right there experiencing the Island with the characters. While this book had strong romance vibes, and I loved the romance, I adored the friendship between Lucy and her best friend Bridget. They were so close, just like sisters, and it was endearing. The romance was also wonderful, and well done. I’m not always a fan of forbidden romance, but in this case, it worked and it worked well.
This book made me want to run out and grab some oysters.
If you are looking for the perfect beach read, you need to pick up a copy of this one as it is worth the hype.
Also, I love the cover art on all her books, so pretty, yet simple.
