Synopsis:
It’s been years since Nora has seen NFL tight end Derek Pender this close in person, but now her career hinges on their rekindled relationship. This time around, they’re not dating, he’s her first official client as full-time sports agent. Too bad he’s holding a grudge for being dumped.
When the two find themselves drunk and in Vegas, they’re both shocked to wake up….married. With their rule book out the window, could this new (ish) relationship be the thing to save their careers?
Thoughts:
Another sports romance? Yes! And another good sports romance! The twist on this one was that it was a second chance, and Nora was a sports agent. I always love to see women involved with sports, beyond just dating or being married to the athlete. So anytime this happens my enjoyment immediately goes up, as was the case here. And how Nora dealt with the male toxicity in the field was just amazing, I loved how it all worked out for her. The audio of this book was a lot of fun, and I think that heightened my enjoyment. I love it when dual narration is brought to life because it just adds so much more to the story for me. The narrators just did such an awesome job, and they really knocked this book out of the park. This book was light and fluffy and gave me all the feels. It was exactly what I wanted in a rom com and I am just so happy that I read it.
This was only my second Sarah Adams book, but after this I am going to be looking more up and devouring them.
