Thoughts:
This book is so good, and I can’t believe it took me so long to read it. I just discovered Mia Sheridan last year and I have loved every one of her books I’ve read. I really enjoyed this edition because it was annotated by the author herself, so while I did listen to a lot of it on audio, I flipped through the pages to read the annotations. I’d never seen an edition done like this, so it was a lot of fun.

This book was just so much. Archer and Bree were both amazing characters for different reasons. Archer was just so lovable and gorgeous. My heart broke for Archer for how he was treated in town. I just do not understand how we treat people as pariah’s because they are different. In my opinion different isn’t bad. Bree was just such a kind and accepting woman. Despite being warned away from Archer, she saw him as a human and for who he really was. Together they were perfect, and you could just feel their connection. I love how they learned to communicate together. They both put in so much effort into their relationship and that comes from truly caring for the other.

This book made me feel so many emotions along the way, it was an emotional ride and not one you should go into lightly. The writing is phenomenal, it’s descriptive and just heart wrenching. I have read other books by Mia Sheridan and she just writes with so much emotion and heart. It’s like she takes your heart and just squeezes it dry. It’s just so beautifully descriptive you can not only feel so much, you feel like you are right there next to the characters living out the story with them.

If you are looking for a book about love and acceptance with some spice sprinkled in it, then you need to read this book already.
