Synopsis:
Diana is working hard for a promotion, and everyone else around her is being put on the backburner. But when her fiancée, Linus, is critically injured and in a coma, she would give anything to get more time with him.
Her friendly neighbor enchants a snow globe that Linus was going to give her for Christmas. Diana doesn’t think much of it but when she wakes up, it’s the day before, the day Linus was injured. She’s stuck reliving this day several times while having to face her deepest feelings. Suddenly on the verge of a breakdown from having to do it again, she opens her heart to the people she loves, and everything changes.
Thoughts:
This was an adorable Hallmark style Christmas read. It gave me all the warm and cozy feelings, like a warm cup of coffee or tea on a cold morning.
Time loop romance novels have quickly become a favorite of mine, and this book just cemented that feeling. Of course, things are a little cliché, and Diana is stuck in the loop until she gets her priorities straight. It didn’t take her too long, but things did get a little repetitive for me. However, the way things wrapped up was really sweet and just so heartwarming, that I forgive all other issues I had with it.
I really connected with Diana. Being a working woman and being told you are curt, while men are told they are professional is something that isn’t foreign to me. It’s just hard to find balance, and that is what Diana needed to do. I also know what it is like to work so hard for a promotion that everything else gets the back burner.
The writing was so magical I felt like I was right there next to the characters, going through the story with them and I loved that. I think the only reason that this was a solid five star read for me was just becase how cliche it ended up being. While it worked and was lovely, it just needed a little something more to make it that five star.
